This page describes a federal civil lawsuit that I am defending myself and this web site, Ind-Movement.Org, against.
Case number 02-CV-117 was filed in the Colorado federal district court on Jan. 22, 2002, in Denver, by the twin bullies, Joseph Colin James III and Victor Prentice, using their business names, The Continuing Episcopal Church and THEOCACNA.
In a nutshell, Mr. James and Mr. Prentice complain that my web site hyperlinks to their web sites without their written permission, and that my web site mentions their two corporations by name.
Federal Judge Harry Hupp, in Ticketmaster vs. Tickets.com, clearly ruled that we Americans have the right to link on the World Wide Web. Accordingly, Mr. James and Mr. Prentice are not only bullies, but liars to boot.
Note there are two other defendants in the case, Bp. Griffith-Mair and his courageous (now former) ISP, Direclynx. There was a fourth defendant, my ISP, Web2010/Hostcentric, but they sold me out by terminating my web site and the bullies then dropped them from the lawsuit.
I unequivocally state this lawsuit is vexatious, silly, stupid, entirely frivolous and has no merit. I strongly believe Mr. James and Mr. Prentice filed this lawsuit soley to harass me (as well as Bp. Mair and his ISP).
[Ind-Movement.org is a research database of autocephalic Christian churches in the apostolic succession, as well as their clergy. Basically, a church directory. These churches all maintain (or claim to) maintain an unbroken tactile apostolic succession. The vast majority of these churches are liturgical, sacramental and Eucharistic. Although these churches are pretty small, and perhaps somewhat top-heavy with clergy, the vast majority are true Eucharistic faith communities and perform valid, public ministry; they truly witness their abiding faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.]
