Dear Friend(s):
The purpose of this message is to introduce you to the Diocese of New Jersey of the Moorish Orthodox Church in America, and to extend to you my invitation to visit its recently erected website, located at http://come.to/moorishorthodoxy.
Alternately, the site can be accessed at http://www.geocities.com/moorishorthodoxchurch/index.html
A numercially small community, Moorish Orthodoxy is a syncretistic faith tradition, embracing what it describes as 'all of the most prophetic, beautiful and useful truths of al-Islam, Christianity, the Ancient Mystery Schools of the East, and the primeval Earth-religions as well as the indigenous traditions of the First Nations, amongst others. It draws major inspiration from the Desert fathers of earliest Christianity, the Sufi masters (particularly Jallalu'din Rumi and Ibn' Arabi), Noble Drew Ali (the Prophet, born Timothy Drew in North Carolina USA, 1886; d. 1929) and the contemporary poets and teachers Peter Lamborn Wilson and Hakim Bey.
Its governance tends to be communitarian, consensus-based and by self-appointed leadership. While it sees itself as a synthesis of creeds with its premier influences principally derived from a variety of Islamic and 'esoteric' Christian schools, its devotional life markedly resembles Eastern Orthodoxy. It must be said, emphatcially, however, that it does not profess to be a Christian tradition, however.
The website of the Moorish Orthodox Church in America's Diocese of New Jersey (www.welcome.to/moorishorthodoxy) contains an elaboration of Moorish Orthodox doctrine, polity, history, devotional materials, and ritual.
I hope you find the foregoing to be of interest.
If I may be of any assistance or if you should have a question regarding Moorish Orthodoxy or the Diocese, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Bright blessings,
+ Sotemohk

The English Catholic Church, its people, clergy, and Bishops wish to extend the hand of sympathy to the US and victims, family and friends or the terrorsist outrages witnessed today.
The dark shadow of evil has surely been cast over the USA today. May
God punish those responsible.

Your website attempts to bring unity to the independent churches. If I am consecrated as the first female bishop in the C of E, as expected next year, I hope to work closely with the independent groups to bring them back into the fold of organic unity of the apostolic time.

Greetings, in the Name of Christ!
I have been exploring your ind-movement.org website. What a truly awesome piece of work! You've obviously spent a
great deal of time collecting and collating the information. Of course, I'm sure that you are vexed with the same problem
most of us have encountered: many of the links are moving targets... :)
I thank you for including the Independent Evangelical Catholic Church in America (IECCA), as well as the link on the
links_parishes.html page. However, the link for
Chicago, IL: Church of the Holy Family / The Independent Evangelical Catholic Church. +J. Wilkowski." leads
to a 404 error, since there is no page available. Also, Jim Cwan+ is the Pastor.
Also, we have another parish in Illinois.
Hanover Park, IL (suburb of far western Chicago): Church of the Blessed Sacrament / The Independent
Evangelical Church. +J. Wilkowski, Formation Pastor.
We have a parish in New Mexico as well:
Albuquerque, NM: Christ the King Parish / The Independent Evangelical Church. +David J. Doyle, Pastor.

Dear Father Tony: Why is it those who are filled with the most grace are the most humble? Keep up the good work - many of us applaud your efforts. You have long been a light in our household and we're glad you're back. You continue to be in our prayers. May your trials in this life simply find you "hanging out near the cross" and thereby only more joyful! Your servant,

Dear Father Tony+:
Thank you so much for including us on your site. Our church denomination is a relatively new one, only officially five years old. But, we are trying to make a difference in a place where there is much potential and much "crying in the darkness." God bless you for helping us get the Word out!
I would also like to addan African Proverb: The moon shines above the barking dogs. And though the dogs may bark and howl at her, she simply shines on in the darkness.
Shine on, honey!!!

Fr. Tony:
Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in tombs bestowing life!
Once again, I sign your guestbook in order to publicly express my appreciation for your fine website. Thank you so very much once again for doing all that you do to document the Independent Orthodox/Old Catholic movement and its clergy and religious as it exists at this time in the early 21st Century. Your labor of love is not in vain, and does not go unnoticed; I am sure, since a cup of cold water given in our Lord's name will not be without its reward, that your labors, done out of love and concern that this movement be documented for history, will be richly rewarded in the age to come, and that, since love covers a multitude of sins, the work that you do, and have done, on this site and on those sites which preceeded it will certainly help to advance your salvation. May we all find mercy with the Lord on that day! You and I do not agree on everything, (may our Lord enlighten you ), but nevertheless, I recognize you as a brother in our Lord and a fellow-laborer in our Lord's vineyard. I also recognize you as a competent web journalist! It is my hope and prayer that this website will be available for years to come. Again, may our Lord most richly bless you and Mother Fran, and may He relieve you of the revilings of our detractors with vindication from on high.
