Please direct all inquires concerning The Vétero-Catholic Church in Brazil to:
An open letter from Bp. Pereira to all jurisdictions in the autocephalous movement, very slightly edited:
Dear brother to you, Grace and peace of the part of God our Father and of Señor Jesus Cristo, that surrendered to himself for our sins in order to get rid of the present bad world, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom the glory for the centuries of the centuries. Amen.
Dear Brother in the Bishopric, I am Dom Paulo Pereira, Archbishop Primate of the Vétero-Catholic Church in Brazil and we desire to enter into Intercommunion Agreements with the several Independent Catholic Churches, it goes terms an unit and together we form only one Family in Cristo Jesus.
Some details of our proposal:
For instance, the Clerical Celibacy that it is a discipline subject, it is optional among the Vétero-Catholic ones. Married men can be ordered, as well as, in our many cases clergymen they can, with the Bishop's consent, to get married, even after the ordination.
The liturgical expression is also a subject of certain discipline for the Local Bishop. Consequently, a lot of communities of the Vétero-Catholic ones adopt the liturgical renewal promulgated according to the Second Vatican Council, while others maintain the Tridentine Liturgy, even in Latin or in local and modern language, according to the local communities' desire. Some Parishes use Oriental Rites or still Old Liturgies of that rich Tradition.
Given the fact that the Vétero-Catholic Communities are relatively small, they are completely destined to the success, according to the Modelo Inaciano of Church. This model sees the faithful with the clergy and the Bishop as a community or family, interested some to the other ones, growing in replete life of Christian charity, living the biblical example in the daily life of each one and growing as Christians that testify Christ's love.
Vétero-Catholic communities use your size and the absence of a structure detalhista to obtain better organization and the advantage of using the ability and the electric outlet of decision to accompany the sacramental and the the believer's community's life, inside of the Revelation and of Scriptural Authority and of the Apostolic Tradition.
...
May Señor Jesus Christ's Grace, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you.
